Environment:

Pallet Services Inc. is continually working to reduce our carbon footprint. In the manufacturing industry, it is hard to have a zero-carbon footprint; we are making efforts to minimize the environmental impact caused by our production. This includes reusing wood from pallets deemed incapable of resale, the stringers, and boards are stripped from the pallets and used to replace broken parts on other pallets. We also work to reduce waste by grinding the lumber that we are not able to reuse into mulch that is then given to local farms to be used as animal bedding; we nearly have a completely sustainable product.

Community Development:

• We as a company know that the support and understanding from the local community help to allow us to operate efficiently and effectively so we as a company try our best to give back as often as we can to local community programs.
• For the last 30 years we have donated and volunteered to the annual penguin run an event which benefits cradle beach.
• We also donate and volunteer to the Drive 4 Devin which is an annual event that benefits crisis services of Erie County and works to improve the stigma around mental health.
• At pallet services we believe that our employees no matter their position are what allows our company to run efficiently and successful, so we do our best to create a workplace that employees want to come to. One major way we repay our gratitude to our employees is by giving them a Thanksgiving dinner every year, the meal includes a turkey, pie, and other fixings that will allow them to spend a happy healthy Thanksgiving with their family and loved ones.
